GSM–WIEGAND converter is a device designed for integration with access control systems and building automation components. It uses GSM communication and the WIEGAND standard to transmit an identifier in the form of the user’s phone number.
This solution eliminates the need for physical access cards, wired transmission infrastructure, and allows for quick integration in locations with limited technical access. The converter enables remote access authorization to secure zones via a mobile phone, without requiring additional readers at entry points.
The device identifies users based on their phone number. A call from an authorized number is automatically rejected, and the number is sent to the controller in WIEGAND format as a virtual identifier. The controller interprets it as a standard access card and decides whether to grant or deny access accordingly.
The module is equipped with 2 digital inputs and 2 relay outputs, allowing for monitoring of external device states (e.g., sensors, inductive loops) and remote control of system components such as gates, lighting, or alarm systems. Operation is carried out via phone calls, SMS messages, or a mobile app (Android™).
The system operates independently of wired infrastructure – all it requires is cellular network coverage. Depending on the software version, integration with smart building solutions is possible, making the converter a flexible tool for both home and industrial automation applications.
